8" Tortilla / Roti / Chapati maker - Good if you are in for heavy maintenance - returned it!

8" Tortilla / Roti / Chapati maker - Good if you are in for heavy maintenance - returned it!
This is a heavy cast iron tortilla press if you are looking to work with it. the press is easy and it works well. Cleaning is tough, being cast iron, it needs maintenance, you need to wash it, wipe it dry & grease it lightly, otherwise it would show rust marks. i missed on wiping it dry and greasing it once after use, and it showed up the marks. see pics for it. if you are ok with the cleaning and maintaining, this product works very well for the gluten free tortillas in my opinion.I used this tortilla maker mostly to make Roti / Phulka / chapati/ Indian wheat flour bread. i did not like the quality of wheat roti at all, as I came out very thick, even when i made the dough very soft, it will not roll out even closer to the way normally the roti is. The roti's / tortillas with millets like Jowar, Bajra, Multigrain(rice based) came out really well. i have pictures attached. I loved the way these came out but cleaning after making these was a pain. Also, 8" will give you smaller roti. its little bigger than Poori(but a thicker poori). i feel 10" would be an appropriate size for making Indian roti / tortilla, but it will be 8" is so heavy, i cannot imagine how heavy 10" would be.I returned my product as it was a task to clean and maintain and it would not make the Wheat roti to my expectation.I would say the Product is good enough but not made for Indian cooking.

1.0 out of 5 stars Wrong Hardware Included -- Told to suck it up by customer service
Reviewed in the United States on April 29, 2021
It's a simple device, right? Three pieces of iron: 2 plates and one handle. If you look at the picture, they show the plates forming a hinge that is held by a long screw with a wingnut on the end. The handle has the same setup, just shorter.

My Unocasa (why its not Unacasa, I'll never get) came with three screws and wingnuts. All are sized for the handle. The hinge has an unsecured cotter pin through it. It's hollow and inside-threaded to receive a screw to secure it in place. No such screw came with the item. More bizarrely, the packaging says that it comes with an extra "rivet".

I challenge anyone to look at the picture and show me any rivets in use anywhere. There are exactly two fasteners on the device, both are screws held in place with wingnuts (which doesn't match the hinge pins they appear to be using now).

So I've got this tortilla press that is unusable unless I take a trip to the hardware store.

Maybe you'll be one of the lucky people that gets their press delivered in a usable condition. I sure wasn't.

UPDATE 19-June-2021: I contacted customer service by email. It took them three weeks to get back to me. They requested a picture and my address. I sent them the picture and reiterated that all I need is the little screw that secures the cotter pin. They pasted in the specs the hinge screw that takes a wingnut, not the one that goes on the end of the cotter pin. They told me to go root around in a hardware store to find a fastener. It's been a long time since I hated a company so much.

UPDATE 29-June-2021: I got a note saying they'd send me the missing fastener.
