All About Ash Gourd in this video πŸ‘‡πŸ» 😁

The first time I heard about Ash gourd was a while ago from Sadhguru during the Inner Engineering program I took.

He said that if you have a glass of ash gourd juice every day, the number of cancerous cells in your body will come down dramatically. Naturally, that grabbed my attention right away because I was fresh out of chemotherapy treatment back then.

Then he continued saying that your intellect will be clearer and sharper, recommending daily Ash gourd juice to everyone, especially kids. Well, how can you resist the possibility of having a sharper intellect and clear head?

Another thing about Ash gourd juice that sounded too good to be true is that it gives you enormous energy. But not like coffee that jolts you with jittery, agitated energy, ash gourd provides you a lot of energy and keeps you calm and stable. Maybe that is why it is becoming so popular among those who are practicing yoga and meditation.

So when I discovered all these beautiful things about Ash gourd, I had to see it for myself. I found Ashgourd in the local Indian grocery store, fell in love with it, and have had it in my kitchen ever since.

Ash gourd is extremely pranic (filled with life energy) and is cooling by nature. It is very neutral in taste, so it can be juiced in combination with a wide variety of fruits and vegetables.

Whether to have Ash gourd juice alone or combine it with cooling or heating fruits or vegetables depends on the time of the year, your constitution, and your current health condition.

Generally speaking, Ash gourd juice is perfect during hot summer days and for those who have excessive heat in the body. According to Ayurveda, Summer is the season where a lot of heat (pitta dosha) accumulates in the body. If not eliminated, the increase in excess heat can settle in the body and manifest as an imbalance.
