When Ends Begin
Sometimes it seems the world is ending,
but it’s just love’s final bending.
Sometimes it seems love’s last sigh,
but it’s just the night waving goodbye.
Sometimes it seems the night will stay,
but it’s just the dawn of a brand new day.
Sometimes it seems day’s just begun,
but it’s love starting fresh, undone.
Sometimes it seems like love’s just igniting,
and yet it’s the world, quietly rewriting.
Sometimes it seems the cycle’s complete,
but again, the world’s heart continues to beat.
