You might never touch them again

They clench their will into a fist,
and just like that—
let you go.
Mornings roll in, thick with thoughts—
none of you.

They stop waiting, stop mourning,
as if you never carved your name
deep into their hearts.
Ever realized?
People shatter their own worlds
just trying not to forgive.

Tears streaming,
they lock you out with a hundred keys,
drained, they decide to forget you—
forever.

They might never reach out,
never worry, never dial your number again…
You might never touch them again…
