I wrote this poem as a reminder of the strength and resilience that lies within each and every one of us. It’s a reminder to myself to continue going and to dare to bear, to keep my heart open even if I’m experiencing pain from what life has thrown my way, and to find the courage and strength to keep on going, no matter how hard it gets.

We all have moments of doubt, fear and uncertainty. We all have times when we feel like giving up. But this poem is my reminder that it’s in those very moments I have the opportunity to find my true strength, my true voice, and my true self.

When I close my heart in fear, I lock myself away from the beauty and Love that surrounds us. But when I dare to bear, I open myself up to the reality of life with all its joys and sorrows in vivid colors, and in that bearing, I find the courage and strength to live and Love, to connect deeply, to become whole and truly free.

Dare to Thrive

With an open heart I can dare
to face the pain
and to bear the glare
of all the hurt, doubts, and fears
that try to hold me back through years;

And in that bearing,
in that choice,
I gain a strength,
a new-found voice
to Live and Love,
to truly Be,
connected,
whole,
and truly free.

Yet, when we close our hearts in fear,
we lock ourselves away,
unclear
of all the beauty that surrounds
and all the love that can be found.

So I let my heart break and shatter
again and again,
moment by moment,
I allow it to flutter…
because in the breaking
I’m fully alive,
in pain,
I found the will to thrive.

And though sometimes it’s tough,
I know that an open heart is enough
to face the truth
and the reality of life,
with all its joys and pains
there’s not much lost but only gained.

Because in the bearing of the unbearable,
I’ve found my strength,
my will to live
my need to strive,
accept,
move on,
and be,
my courage,
my ultimate Love,
and my will to give.

When we close our hearts in fear, we lock ourselves away from the beauty and Love that surrounds us. But when we dare to bear, we open ourselves up to the reality of life and all its joys and pains. And in that bearing, we find the courage and strength to live and Love, to connect deeply, to become whole and truly free.

In the depth of every human heart, there exists a silent power. This power hums beneath life’s turbulences, becoming a resonating anthem when confronted with adversity. It is a shared  whisper, a ripple of resilience resonating through the universe, nudging us to endure, to rise amidst the tumult life unfolds.

Life, in its vastness, is an interplay of complexities, an intricate puzzle interspersed with shades of fear, shreds of doubt, and fragments of uncertainty. Yet, amid these interlocking pieces lies an unexplored masterpiece – an image of our strength, a likeness of our authentic voice, a silhouette of our genuine self.

Often, we encase our hearts within a fortress of apprehensions, numbing ourselves from the pulsating vibrancy of existence that waits beyond. But when we allow the walls to crumble, we invite richness into our world, we absorb the colors of life in their rawest and most authentic form.

Choosing to stand in the center of life’s grand performance, to perceive and absorb each shade of joy and sorrow, is a testament to courage. This courage germinates the strength to deeply experience life. It paves the path for profound connections, accepts our wholeness, and harvests a freedom born from genuine comprehension.

Then our way through life becomes more than just a survivalist saga. It morphs into an exploration of the essence, a discovery of strength, a quest for authentic freedom, inviting us to weave through shadows and light, unraveling the threads of our existence. Through this daring, we can transcend mere survival, becoming artisans of our life, crafting each moment with a choice not just to endure, but to truly thrive.

I know that when I close my heart in fear, I lock myself away from the beauty and Love that surrounds us. But when I dare to bear, I open myself up to the reality of Life with all its joys and sorrows in vivid colors, and in that bearing, I find the courage and strength to Live and Love, to connect deeply, to become whole and truly free.

So now, again, at this very moment, I’m opening my heart, continuing to dare to bear, finding the courage and strength to keep going. Because in the end, that’s what matters. That’s what gives me the will to strive, to accept, to move on, and to be. That’s what gives me the courage to face the truth and the reality of life and to live it to the fullest.
