after all, this moment is all we have….

When the world collapsed and I was left bare
All my identities stripped, I had nothing to wear
Lost and adrift, my future was unclear
Depression set in, I was filled with regret and fear

Days felt like years, and hope was scarce
The future seemed bleak
and my heart felt pierced, bleeding away
I was drowning in a sea of doubt and pain
It felt like I was struggling to stay sane

But then came the words that changed my life
“You have cancer,” the doctor’s voice was rife
She urged me to act fast, to take control
As in a week’s time it would be too late to roll

As I drove home, tears streamed down my face
And the thought of leaving loved ones was a bitter taste
But the next day I found a place of calm
Where my body melted away like a soothing balm

I dissolved in a moment, I was there, yet I wasn’t
My body melting away like a dream that was unforgettable, yet forgotten
All was there in its shining glory but my body no more
As if I had unlocked a secret that I had never known before

The world around me was more vivid than before
The trees swayed, the birds sang, and the sky soared
My body was gone but I felt so alive
As if I had discovered a secret that could survive

The beauty that surrounded me was overwhelming and pure,
And I felt like I was part of a symphony so perfectly sure
A feeling of oneness that was so hard to describe,
A sense of belonging that made my spirit thrive

In that moment, I realized that I was part of a greater whole
A universe so vast, a connection that would forever console
For in that moment of oneness, I had discovered a secret
A truth that had always been there, but I had somehow missed it

Surgery and chemo were tough, but love got me through
Friends and family stood by, and their love was true
And in that moment under the trees
I realized that Love is all that we need to be free

The world feels full of chaos and pain
But in Love and stillness, we can remain
Connected to all that surrounds us
We can transcend our fears and simply trust

So, I hold onto the beauty of the world
Embracing Love that makes life worth a twirl
For in the midst of life’s trials and woes
I know that there’s a greater truth that glows

The oneness I felt that day still lingers on
I know that we’re never truly alone
As we’re all part of a greater design
A universe that’s interconnected and divine

And so I dance through life with a renewed sense of grace
Embracing the present moment and each new day
For I know that in the beauty that surrounds me
I’m part of a greater symphony

Life is a path with twists and turns, where we never quite know what’s around the corner. Sometimes, you might encounter experiences that seem terrifying and painful, making you wonder how you’ll ever make it through. Yet, there are moments when we are all swept up in pure joy and beauty that we never could have imagined.

It’s easy to get caught up in the ups and downs, but the thing is, life is neither good nor bad. It just is. And if we accept whatever is happening in the moment, there comes a sense of peace and surrender. We can release the need to control or judge and simply allow life to unfold.

When we surrender to the flow of life, we find a greater sense of joy, love, and fulfillment. We can discover new perspectives and insights and learn to embrace the present moment as it is. It’s in those moments of surrender that we can find beauty in the unexpected and see the possibilities that were always there.

I’ve learned to embrace the flow of life as it comes, and in doing so, I’ve found a deeper sense of purpose and meaning. It’s not always easy, but the rewards are worth it. When we let go of our expectations and trust, we open ourselves up to new opportunities and experiences. And in those moments of surrender, I find beauty in the unexpected and learn to embrace the present moment as it is. So I choose to surrender to the flow of life, and in doing so, I find peace, gratitude, and a deeper connection to the world around me.

Living in the moment can be a powerful way to find peace and a sense of belonging. When we focus on the present and release our attachment to the past or future, we can discover a greater sense of clarity. In my own journey, I found that embracing the flow of life and surrendering to whatever was happening in the moment helped me discover a deeper sense of connection and joy. When we let go of our expectations and trust the process, we open ourselves up to new opportunities and experiences. Live in the moment; after all, this moment is all we have….
